Our outdoor restaurant is open year-round. At SALT, we gather around the fire and the flames. Throughout history, people have come together around the fire to share food, tell stories, and take part in an inclusive community. Around the fire, you can order burgers, fries, pizza, or create your own meal—a Nordic tapas-style experience. Over the flames, you can grill vegetables, reindeer, moose, lamb, and cheeses from our long, diverse country. And the dessert—it’s amazing!
Note: Reservations for fewer than six people will share the fire with others.

The Cheese box
The Cheese Box tells the story of coastal and mountain communities through warm, Norwegian flavors. The BÅL menu highlights cheese’s role as a historic link between inland regions and the coast. Here, a Norwegian BÅL raclette is served with locally sourced cheeses and ingredients that truly come into their own over open flames.
Grilling cheese from Trofors: Similar to halloumi, perfect for grilling over the fire!
Jæren coastal plain cheese: A soft cheese with a taste of the sea.
Camembert from Gangstad Farm: A white mold cheese that melts beautifully over the fire.
Potatoes: Sweet and juicy, ideal with warm cheeses.
Condiments: Coarse mustard, ketchup, pickled onions, and “cowboy candy” (sweet pickled chili).

The Meat Box
The Meat Box celebrates Norway’s rich tradition of smoked sausages—both as a flavor profile and as a method of preservation. Here, you’ll experience tastes from across the country, made from the animals that have shaped Norwegian food culture for generations.
Reindeer sausage from Røros: Hot-smoked, with a mildly sweet game flavor. Ready for the grill.
Chicken sausage (halal): Flavorful and mild over the flame.
Lamb sausage (halal): Made from Norwegian lamb grazing between fjords and mountains, with a rich and aromatic taste.
Reindeer meatballs: An authentic taste of the wilderness.
Condiments: Coarse mustard, ketchup, pickled onions, and “cowboy candy” (sweet pickled chili).

The Veggie Box
The Vegetable Box celebrates the early harvest and potato season—when everything is especially sweet, fresh, and crisp. The best vegetables of the season become even better with a touch of heat and smoke from the grill. The contents of the Vegetable Box vary by season:

The Dessert Box
The Dessert Box offers s’mores—Norwegian style. A warm and gooey finale where sweet meets tangy and crunchy, perfect over the grill.
Marshmallows: Grilled until golden and soft.
Oat biscuits: Crisp biscuits that add a satisfying crunch.
Brown cheese: A Norwegian twist that brings both sweetness and freshness.
Troll cream: Sour cream mixed with lingonberries.
Add butter, warm it up, press it together—and enjoy. A guaranteed grill favorite.

The Big Dipper
A whole wheel of Jæren Coastal Plain Cheese that gets buried into the emebers of the fire.
Gives off a perfect cheese pull and is the Norwegian equivalent to Mont D’or.
We call it Norwegian Rackelette.
